Paul Millsap undergoing surgery on left wrist, out for Nuggets indefinitely

Denver Nuggets forward/center Paul Millsap will undergo surgery on his left wrist and is out indefinitely, league sources tell Shams Charania of The Vertical.

What It Means:

This is disappointing news after it was reported on Monday that X-rays came back negative for any structural damage in Millsap's wrist. Kenneth Faried started against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, and this should lead to more opportunity on offense for Gary Harris, Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray for however long Millsap is out.

Millsap is averaging 32.1 FanDuel points across 16 games this season. Without knowing the extent of the injury, numberFire's models currently project him to record 20.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.9 3-pointers, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 2.7 3-pointers on 47.4 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from deep over the remainder of the year.
