Ben McLemore's (foot) role uncertain for Grizzlies' debut
Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale was noncommittal on guard Ben McLemore's role in his season debut on Saturday.
Signed by Memphis in the offseason, McLemore has yet to take the floor as he worked his way back from a broken foot. He's expected to return on Saturday against the Houston Rockets, but his head coach was quoted saying, "We'll see what works and take it day by day." That suggests that the 24-year-old will be brought along slowly before seeing more minutes in the Grizzlies' backcourt. And with the success of Dillon Brooks and Tyreke Evans, he might not be anything more than a bench scorer for Memphis.
numberFire's models project McLemore to tally 8.2 points and 13.5 FanDuel points over 20.7 minutes on the road against the Rockets.
