Celtics' Aron Baynes getting the start at center Friday with Marcus Smart ruled out
Boston Celtics center Aron Baynes will start at center on Friday with Marcus Smart ruled out against the Philadelphia 76ers.
With Smart being ruled out, the Celtics have decided to go big with Al Horford starting at power forward, Jayson Tatum at small forward, Jaylen Brown at shooting guard, and Kyrie Irving at the point. Baynes started just 3 games the last two season with the Detroit Pistons and has averaged only 17.5 minutes in the first two games with Boston.
Our models projected Baynes for 17.0 minutes played with 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds for 15.1 FanDuel points but expect him to see a few more minutes with the starting spot on Friday night.
