DeMar DeRozan struggles, Toronto goes down 0-2
Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan went only 2-of-11 from the field on Wednesday, finishing with five points, three rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes of action in a 125-103 blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
DeRozan had a similar game in Round 1 when he went 0-for-8 from the field in Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Raptors simply can't afford to have their top scorer disappear like this in a big playoff series. Through eight games in the 2017 playoffs, DeRozan is averaging 20.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 35.9 minutes per game while shooting .418 from the field. Toronto will need him to score to take their first win of the series at home on Friday.
DeRozan finished last among Raptors players with an ugly -43.0 nERD on Wednesday, per numberFire Live.
