Pacers sign Lance Stephenson

The Indiana Pacers and shooting guard Lance Stephenson have reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year, $12 million contract.

What It Means:

This is a surprisingly lucrative deal for Stephenson, who has bounced around between five different teams since last playing for the Pacers, his first NBA home, in the 2013-2014 season. He's played only 12 games (six each for the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves) this season.

Stephenson has averaged only 6.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 19.1 minutes per game over those 12 contests. His -0.9 nERD for the season ranks 292nd among 479 players.
