Ersan Ilyasova scores 23 in spot start for Hawks
Atlanta Hawks forward Ersan Ilyasova scored 23 points in a start for forward/center Paul Millsap (knee) on Saturday during a 113-97 loss to the Blazers, adding four rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
What It Means:
It doesn't sound like Millsap is going to be out long and even the Hawks broadcast talked about the knee tightness being about rest. In other words, Ilyasova likely will be moving back to the bench on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Still, the Hawks do close with him a lot, so Ilyasova is a hold.
