Portland and Minnesota will not play Monday night
The Minnesota Timberwolves game versus the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night has been canceled due to issues with the court.
The floor at the Target Center was slippery due to condensation from the sheet of ice under the surface, in place from the NHL's Minnesota Wild. Many players complained about the surface, and after much work, the NBA and teams decided to cancel the game. No word if the matchup will be made up at a later date.
The Timberwolves were 4.5 point favorites over the Blazers on Monday as both teams are battling for the eighth and final playoff spot out west. Portland is 1.5 games out while Minnesota is 3.0 away.
