Pistons might start Ish Smith over Reggie Jackson on Saturday
Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy is considering sending guard Reggie Jackson to the bench and starting Ish Smith at point guard Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Pistons opened the year 11-10 with Smith as the starting point guard and since then Reggie Jackson has been overall inconsistent and was downright bad in the month of February. Detroit is fighting for a playoff spot, so right now Jackson's contract might not be enough to keep him in the starting unit.
Jackson is averaging 14.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 0.8 steals over 28.5 minutes per game. He has an effective field goal percentage of just .468 and his nERD of -1.7 ranks 368th in the league.
