Utah exploring the trade market for Derrick Favors

The Utah Jazz have recently been exploring the trade market for forward/center Derrick Favors, per ESPN's Zach Lowe.

What It Means:

Favors is set to become a free agent in the off-season, and with Gordon Hayward and George Hill both needing to be re-signed, Utah may look to get what they can for the big man. At this point, there haven't been any concrete talks.

Favors has struggled this year after suffering a preseason knee injury, and is averaging 9.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 23.5 minutes per game. His .501 true shooting percentage is a career-low and his 14.9 percent rebound rate is the second-lowest mark of his career. His 0.3 nERD this season currently ranks sixth among Jazz players and 122nd in the NBA.
