Ty Lawson's season-high 22 points not enough as Kings lose to Bulls

Sacramento Kings guard Ty Lawson scored a season-high 22 points in a 112-107 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday.

What It Means:

With Garrett Temple out, Lawson has had to step up for Sacramento and he played 23 of his 35 minutes alongside Darren Collison on Monday. His 23 points were the most he's scored in a game in nearly two years, so while we can't expect a lot of games like this, Lawson will have to play heavy minutes for this shallow Kings backcourt until Temple returns.

Lawson is averaging 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals over 24.8 minutes per game this season. He owns a .471 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of -1.9 ranks him 388th in the NBA.
