Pelicans giving Tyreke Evans a day off on Tuesday
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans (ankle, rest) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against Toronto Raptors.
Evans has only been playing limited minutes since his return from knee surgery and with the Pelicans playing the first game of a back-to-back set on Tuesday, it makes sense to rest Evans with the hopes of having him at full strength on Wednesday. Buddy Hield and E'Twaun Moore will see an uptick in minutes with Evans sidelined.
Evans is averaging 17.7 minutes in his 20 games played this season with 9.9 points, 3.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per contest. His 0.0 nERD is tied for fifth on the Pelicans.
