Joel Embiid won't play Tuesday, expected to return on Friday for 76ers
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (left knee bruise) is expected to play Friday against the Houston Rockets.
Embiid is officially marked as doubtful for Tuesday, but head coach Brett Brown has already conceded that the big man won't play versus the Los Angeles Clippers. He's also already been ruled out for Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks, but Embiid shouldn't be looking at more than a two-game absence. Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor should both benefit in the meantime.
In his first season of action, Embiid is averaging 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 3-pointers through 30 games while playing only 25.3 minutes per contest.
