Hornets' Nicolas Batum (knee) will miss 1-2 weeks
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Nicolas Batum will miss 1-2 weeks after hyperextending his right knee on Thursday night.
The MRI on Batum's right knee revealed he didn't suffer any structural damage. The Hornets only play three times over the next seven days, so that would be convenient scheduling if he's able to make a quick recovery. Batum is leading the Hornets with 34.5 minutes per game this season, the majority of which will be dispersed between Marco Belinelli, Jeremy Lamb and Marvin Williams.
Batum is having a strong year, averaging career-highs in points (15.1) and assists (5.8), to go with 7.4 rebounds, in 34.5 minutes per game. He owns a 0.3 nERD on the season, ranking 127th in the NBA.
