Spurs giving Pau Gasol Thursday night off for rest
San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol (rest) will not suit up on Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
What It Means:
Gasol played 32 minutes on Thursday night, so it's not super surprising that he won't be playing on the second half of this back-to-back. Look for DeWayne Dedmon and David Lee to both see increased minutes.
Dedmon is averaging a full 1.0 FanDuel points per minute this season, and saw a significant increase in playing time -- seeing 26.5 minutes -- the last time Gasol was out. He's a strong value play for the minimum salary on FanDuel Friday night.
