Utah's Derrick Favors (knee) diagnosed with bone contusion, out indefinitely

Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors received a MRI that revealed a bone contusion in his left knee, and it's currently unclear when he'll be able to return to the court.

What It Means:

Favors doesn't currently have a timetable for his return, but his left knee has cost him time already this season, so it could be an extended absence. Trey Lyles is now on the standard league radar, while Boris Diaw will also get more run with Favors out.

Our models currently project Lyles to turn in 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 21.4 minutes tonight versus Chicago.
