John Wall is out Saturday for Washington

The Washington Wizards may choose to rest guard John Wall (knee surgeries) on "the first few" back-to-backs this season, and he will not play Saturday against the Orlando Magic.

What It Means:

Wall is coming off two knee surgeries this offseason and with Washington not going anywhere far this season, they are going to play it safe with their franchise player. However, the Wizards have been pretty bad without Wall on the court this season, as their offensive rating is -32.1 with him out of the game. Tomas Satoransky and Trey Burke will do the heavy lifting at point guard, while Bradley Beal stands to see a hefty boost in usage on Saturday.

Wall is off to a solid start this season, averaging 22.0 points, 10.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds on a .457 effective field goal percentage. His 33.2 usage rate ranks eighth among players who have seen at least 63 minutes this season.
