Tony Allen is out for Grizzlies' Wednesday opener
Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen (right knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Allen was making some progress but it looks as if the Grindfather will sit out Memphis' opener. Vince Carter and Troy Daniels will likely fill the void at shooting guard and might play even more with Chandler Parsons also out tonight.
In his 12th NBA season, Allen had a -1.7 nERD and his .474 effective field goal percentage was a three year low. He came back to post a 3.5 steal rate after leading the league at 4.1 in the 2014-2015 season.
