Keldon Johnson (neck) ruled out Tuesday for Spurs versus Pelicans
San Antonio Spurs small forward Keldon Johnson (sore neck) is expected to be held out Tuesday versus the New Orleans Pelicans.
Johnson is a late addition to the Spurs' inactives, joining Devin Vassell (knee injury management), Jeremy Sochan (knee), and Zach Collins (rest). Tre Jones (hamstring) has been upgraded from doubtful to available, so he should shoulder a heavy workload in the front end of the back-to-back. Johnson's absence will also result in more minutes for Sandro Mamukelashvili, Dominick Barlow, and Doug McDermott (hip).
Mamuk is now numberFire's No. 5 point-per-dollar value on Tuesday's six-game slate. He has a $5,100 salary and our models project him for 26.3 FanDuel points over 27.2 minutes. Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Spurs have the second-lowest implied total (109.5) and they are 13.0-point underdogs to the Pelicans.
