Boston's Kelly Olynyk undergoes right shoulder surgery
Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk underwent a successful right shoulder arthroscopy for recurrent subluxations on Monday, and he is currently without an official timetable to return.
While an official timetable has not yet been set, a standard recovery period for the kind of procedure he underwent is typically in the five-month range, so he should be good to go when the 2016-17 season begins. The Celtics could have a much different look next year with Tyler Zeller and Jared Sullinger bound for free agency, and if those guys aren't retained, more opportunity would open up for Olynyk.
Olynyk finished the regular season ranked 54th with a 2.7 nERD. He averaged 10.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game with a 53.1 Effective Field Goal Percentage and 10.7 percent Total Rebound Rate.
