Gorgui Dieng (hip) expects to play on Friday for Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng (sore left hip) is expected to play on Friday versus the Houston Rockets.
His hip was sore on Thursday, but he's been getting a lot of treatment in the past 24 hours and fully expects to give it a go. He was listed as probable, so this isn't a surprise. We'll have confirmation before tip-off, but Dieng can be penciled into lineups for now.
Dieng ranks 62nd in the league with a 1.8 nERD in 68 games played. He's averaging 9.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, while posting a 60.4 True Shooting Percentage. We project Dieng to score 11.9 points, grab 9.0 boards, and dish out 1.9 assists against the Rockets, while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor.
