Joel Embiid, other 76ers at risk of missing time for health protocols
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid sat next to Seth Curry (COVID-19) in the first quarter of Thursday's game versus the Brooklyn Nets.
Curry tested positive for COVID-19 but the 76ers didn't know until around tip-off. Embiid sat down next to Curry with 3:05 remaining in the first quarter and remained there until the end of the frame. The 76ers are conducting contact tracing, but there's obviously a possibility that Embiid, as well as other teammates, could be forced to miss time. Dwight Howard started in the only game Embiid has missed this season. Philadelphia's next game is scheduled to take place on Saturday versus the Denver Nuggets.
Shake Milton leads the 76ers with a 27.8 usage percentage, an increase of 5.7 percent, without Embiid on the floor this season, per FantasyLabs. He's averaging 1.0 FanDuel points per minute in those situations.
