Pistons' Killian Hayes reportedly suffered labral hip tear
Detroit Pistons rookie point guard Killian Hayes suffered a labral tear in his hip on Monday night, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Hayes suffered the injury in the third quarter of Monday's game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pistons play the Bucks again on Wednesday, and while Hayes was listed as doubtful on Tuesday night's report, he's expected to miss extended time with the injury. Delon Wright is considered the favorite to replace Hayes in the starting lineup while Derrick Rose should see expanded usage off the bench. Blake Griffin may also take on a larger offensive role.
Hayes owns an 18.9 percent usage rate through his first seven NBA games, per FantasyLabs. According to numberFire's Heat Map for Wednesday's 11-game slate, the Pistons are 13.5-point underdogs. Our models expect Rose to return more than 5X value, as he's projected for 33.0 FanDuel points and has a salary of $6,000.
