Pistons' Stanley Johnson scores 19 points, snags 10 boards

Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Johnson stuffed the stat sheet for the first double-double of his career on Monday, scoring 19 points with 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, one steal and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

What It Means:

Guarding James Harden, Johnson had a couple bad fouls late in the game, but Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy stuck with him. He was coming off a 27-minute game and is logging minutes at both wing spots right now. His upside is very attractive.

The 19 points were one shy of a career-high. He's reached double figures in four of his last seven games after doing so just twice in his first 11 games of the season. Johnson is hitting just 37 percent of his shots, including 25 percent of his 3-point tries.
