Jerry West contributed more than just his likeness for the NBA's logo. Famously known for being the only recipient of the Finals MVP award while playing for a losing team, West was regarded as a top-notch defender and one of the premier mid-range shooters of his era. He holds the record for most average points in a playoff series with 46.3 points versus the Baltimore Bullets in 1965.

Though he was nicknamed "Mr. Clutch" for his timely shots as a player, West has also been clutch off the court during his illustrious NBA career as an executive. Awarded twice as Executive of the Year in 1995 and 2004, West is credited for the signings of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal to the Lakers and is most recently believed to have lured Kevin Durant to Golden State as an Executive Board Member for the Warriors.
