Steph Curry: Three-Point Machine

Steph Curry has led the league in three-point attempts and three-point makes each of the last three years. Entering the NBA Finals, Curry was there again, attempting 11.1 3-points per game and making 43.7% of them, one of the highest marks in the playoffs.

However, entering Game 5, Curry was hitting an uncharacteristic 36.6% of his threes. But it was only a matter of time before he turned that percentage around as Curry hit seven of his 13 attempts in Game 5, setting some notable marks in the process.

Of all playoff games since 1985 that saw at least the stat line of Curry in Game 5 (37, 7 and 4), Curry attempted the most 3-pointers in a game. Curry also tied the record of three-pointers in a game with James Harden (who coincidentally did it against the Warriors this year).

Curry set the same records with three-pointers if we evaluate just Finals games with that baseline as well. LeBron had hit five three-pointers in a Finals game with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists in 2013, but now Curry has the most threes with such a baseline.

And with seven three-pointers in Game 5, Curry now has 22 in the NBA Finals, a mark he shares with Ray Allen. However, he's still five shy of tying Danny Green's record of 27 3-pointers in an NBA Finals that was set in 2013.
