Anthony Davis fantasy owners aren't the only ones freaking out over what might happen over the last couple of months of the season. Those with Joel Embiid are likewise exiting the All-Star break with trepidation.
While
Embiid is certainly not embroiled in any kind of contract dispute,
he'll be forced to the sidelines nonetheless given sore knees. While
he's only slated to be out a week, the Sixers are in a solid position with a 37-21 record and can definitely win without him with players like Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler, and Tobias Harris taking up the torch.
As
such, they will likely be overly cautious with their outgoing center,
meaning there will be minutes to be divvied up amongst the team's other
bigs. One player who stands to benefit is every fantasy player's
favorite backup center, Boban Marjanovic.
Boban hasn't seen a lot of minutes for his new team, but what else is new? He thrives when given minutes -- he's averaging a robust 1.33 DraftKings points per minute -- and he'll take advantage of any extra playing time thrown his way.
Even if that means he's still only seeing 18-20 minutes of court time, that's more than enough to come through with a big return at his paltry $3,500 salary. We project him to score 24.7 DraftKings points in just 18.3 minutes tonight.
