3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/8/19

Feel like taking a chance on a player who may or may not see much court time? If so, then Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton could be your guy tonight.

I get it. It's hard to put your trust in a guy who has seen just 12 combined minutes of run over his past two games. That's not exactly what anybody would call inspiring. Connaughton, however, has a chance to blow past those minutes tonight with Khris Middleton set to miss tonight's game due to "load management."

As such, there will be plenty of minutes to divvy up, and the two most likely candidates to receive them are Tony Snell -- who will likely start -- and Connaughton, the former two-sport star at Notre Dame. That could mean that he sees 20-plus minutes, and he has excelled when receiving that much run recently.

Connaughton has received 20 or more minutes just three times since the calendar page flipped to 2019. In those games, he's scored 25.75, 25.0, and 24.0 DraftKings points, respectively. Our models have him scoring 0.85 DraftKings points per minute tonight. As such, he'll need roughly 19 minutes in order to hit a value of 5.0 DraftKings points per $1,000, which is very doable.

You're taking a major risk using him, but it's one that could return solid dividends if he gets the run that he should.
