There is no way to sugar coat how poor Gordon Hayward's 2018-19 season has been. The Boston Celtics forward has struggled returning from an injury that kept him out of all but five minutes last year. His per-36 scoring output is his worst mark since 2011-12, and he's shooing just 41.9% from the field and 32.0% from three, both the second-worst marks of his career.

He'll have a chance for a rebound tonight, however, when the Celtics travel to Ohio to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris are out for the Celtics tonight, which has happened just once this season. Hayward took advantage of their absences, going off for 16 points, 11 boards, and 8 assists in 30 minutes of run. The 45.25 DraftKings points represented his second-best fantasy performance of the season.

While our models don't have him repeating that performance, we do project him for a solid 31.0 DraftKings points. At his $5,000 salary, that represents 6.2 DraftKings points per $1,000, the second-highest projected value of the slate.
