Waiver Wire Add of the Year

Josh Richardson, Miami Heat

Josh Richardson was drafted in some leagues this year, but with an ADP of 183.5 across the industry and final ownership rates of 65% on Yahoo and 60% on ESPN, it's safe to say that a lot of people slept on him finishing as the 53rd-ranked player in nine-category leagues in 2017-18 and 31st over the season's last three months.

He played in and started 81 games for the Miami Heat, averaging 12.9 points, 1.6 triples, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.7 turnovers in 33.2 minutes per contest, and shooting 45.1% from the field and 84.5% from the line. Those are some pretty unassuming averages, but there's not really a big hole anywhere in them.

Also, he came pretty darn close to joining an exclusive club of guys that managed to average one three, one steal, and one block per game this year. Draymond Green is the only official member, but DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, Paul Millsap, and Kawhi Leonard all got there, just in fewer than 50 games played. Either way, those are five guys who got drafted in the first couple rounds this year, and one that barely got drafted at all outside the deepest fantasy leagues.

Richardson may not have filled it up in any one place in particular, but a glue guy who can contribute across the board like him is the foundation of a lot of championship fantasy teams.

Honorable Mention: Joe Ingles (Utah Jazz), Will Barton (Denver Nuggets), Tyreke Evans (Memphis Grizzlies)
