Rudy Gay, SF, San Antonio Spurs

FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.20

When the Spurs signed Rudy Gay this past offseason, one of the many reasons they did so was to combat the Golden State Warriors' smaller lineups. The belief was that they'd play him at power forward, alongside Kawhi Leonard, against Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and/or Andre Iguodala. Tonight, San Antonio won't have Leonard, but Gay will still be asked to step into the four-spot.

With Pau Gasol also sidelined, the Spurs would be smart to go with LaMarcus Aldridge at the five and use Gay's offensive abilities beside him. He's already played 30 minutes in that form of lineup, with the Spurs posting a net rating of 22.5 with six wins in the six games that lineup has appeared in. After being limited to fewer than 15 minutes in Monday's rest game against Memphis, Gay should return to the 24 to 26 minutes he played in the two games prior.

If Gay gets those minutes, he should be a nice value at this low price. When he's played 20 or more minutes, he's averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists -- totaling 26.6 FanDuel points over 25.4 minutes a night. If you're counting on the Spurs keeping it within the 11-point spread, Gay is a top-10 point-per-dollar play on Thursday's slate.
