3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/14/18

Royce O'Neale was a chalky play his last time out and disappointed in a big way, putting up just 11.25 DraftKings points in 38 minutes of action. Hopefully that plus all the value in the Atlanta game keeps his ownership down.

While O'Neale's inefficiency in his most recent game was impressively bad, the fact that he was force-fed minutes anyway was encouraging. Prior to that game, he had shown flashes of upside, and even with that putrid showing, he is still averaging 0.83 DraftKings points per minute on the year.

With Ricky Rubio out, O'Neale could see close to the 35.5 minutes he has averaged over the past two games tonight. He'd only need 26 minutes to reach the 23.5 DraftKings points required of him at this price tag if he averages the 0.83 DraftKings points per minute he has sustained over 625 minutes this season.

You can give in to recency bias if you want, but the larger sample size suggests he is an efficient fantasy performer. Expecting somewhere close to 0.80 DraftKings points per minute again tonight doesn't seem like to much to ask -- especially in a terrific spot against the Phoenix Suns. O'Neale is worth a look in any format at this price tag.
