3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/12/18

In his first game for the New York Knicks, Emmanuel Mudiay was handed the keys to the offense. He responded with 14 points and 10 assists in 29 minutes, as he and Frank Ntilikina combined for 60 minutes. It is clear that the Knicks are going with the youth movement, and with significant blowout risk (12.0-point spread) in tonight's game, it would be surprising to see much playing time for Jarrett Jack.

Mudiay's first game wasn't efficient (he shot 5 of 14 from the floor), but his 32 DraftKings points was clearly enough to hit value. For all of his shortcomings as a defender and shooter, Mudiay has averaged 0.93 DraftKings points per minute in nearly 800 minutes of action this season. That is enough of a sample size to feel confident in him as a punt play if we believe he will see extended run once again tonight. At that level of efficiency, Mudiay would need only 23 minutes of action to put up the 21.5 DraftKings points required of him at this price tag.

It is tough to trust Mudiay in cash games, but he will be a viable play in any format if he continues to fill a near-30-minute role and be priced below $5,000.
