The shooting guard position is particularly thin below $5,000. Most of the relevant plays are above that price, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's price drop makes him worth consideration in a plus matchup with the Thunder on Thursday night.

Since Andre Roberson went down with a season-ending injury, the Thunder haven't been the same on defense. With guys like Alex Abrines, Terrance Ferguson, and Josh Huestis filling in, OKC has watched their defensive rating go from 101.7 with Roberson to 115 in six games without him. At the source of their issues have been allowing easy shots. Without their stud perimeter defender, the Thunder are allowing 33.2% of their opponents shot attempts -- 5% more than with Roberson -- to come in the form of layups or dunks.

According to NBAWowy!, KCP has attempted 19.3% of his shots from either layups or dunks over the last month. At his reduced price, we could be in for a nice bounce-back game from him. Just be sure to limit him to tournament exposure, with Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson commanding minutes in the Lakers' backcourt.
