3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/26/17

As is seemingly always the case, the Miami Heat head into this one extremely banged up. While they received good news in that Hassan Whiteside could return for this game, they will for sure be without Dion Waiters, James Johnson, and Justise Winslow.

If Whiteside ends up sitting out, guys like Kelly Olynyk ($6,100) and Bam Adebayo ($4,100) would be strong values again, but the more likely scenario appears to be that Miami's wing depth is depleted for this game, which could leave big minutes for Wayne Ellington. Ellington isn't a big points-per-minute producer and therefore isn't someone we target much, but with 35-plus minutes at his disposal, he is hard to ignore.

He has been absolutely chucking recently (30 three-point attempts over his past three games), which gives him a pretty decent ceiling if he gets hot. His price essentially negates his floor, because he needs just 19.5 DraftKings points to pay off his salary (5 fantasy points per $1,000 in salary). He has reached that in four of his past seven games -- a stretch during which Ellington has averaged 24.3 DraftKings points per game.

He is worth a look in any format with extended minutes against a soft Orlando Magic defense.
