3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/22/17

DraftKings Salary: $3,900

At first glance, a matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat is an easy stay-away spot on such a loaded nine-game slate. Don't let the disgusting 196.5 over/under scare you off just yet though, as there is some potential value on the Miami side of the ball.

While DraftKings has priced up Tyler Johnson and Josh Richardson, Jordan Mickey's price is still hovering around the minimum-salary mark. With Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, James Johnson, and Justise Winslow all still out for Miami tonight, they will be left with what is essentially a seven-man rotation once again. That has led to averages of 25 minutes and 23.8 DraftKings points for Mickey over his past three games -- all of which he hit the 19.5 DraftKings point mark that he needs to hit value tonight.

He should continue to be a strong DraftKings points per minute contributor tonight against a Dallas froncourt that has struggled agaisnt opposing bigs all season. Dallas ranks 29th in rebounding rate and are inside the bottom-10 in DraftKings points per game allowed to both power forwards and centers. Mickey is a viable punt play in all formats.
