Chris Paul, PG/SG, Houston Rockets

DraftKings Salary: $8,100

Chris Paul still just seems a bit underpriced. He needs 40.5 DraftKings points to reach five-times his salary implied value at this price. He's averaging 40 DraftKings points on the year and 46.7 in the month of December, plus this matchup couldn't fit him any better.

The Houston Rockets lead the slate by a wide margin with a 120-point implied team total, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise against a New Orleans Pelicans team ranked sixth in pace and 21st in defensive efficiency. They also have allowed the sixth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing point guards, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise as a Rajon Rondo-led team. Paul should benefit greatly from the fact that he draws the individual defense of Rondo, one of the league's worst defenders, while James Harden will spend a good deal of time dealing with Jrue Holiday.

New Orleans has also struggled to defend the perimeter, which spells trouble against a Rockets team that lives and dies by the three. The Pelicans have allowed the fifth-most made three pointers per game, which isn't just good news for Paul as a shooter (averaging two made threes per game), but as a passer as well. Paul has averaged 5.7 assists to three pointers per game, which is first by a huge margin. He should pick apart this defense and is a strong play in all formats at this price.
