Both Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon ($8,100) are strong plays here against the Atlanta Hawks, with the slight edge going to Vucevic in cash games. Atlanta has been dreadful defensively without John Collins and Dewayne Dedmon this season, especially on the interior. They already ranked 26th in defensive efficiency and 28th in rebounding rate, but with both Collins and Dedmon sidelined, their numbers drop even further. In 208 such minutes, their rebounding rate has dropped from 47.1% to 45.5%, which would easily rank last in the league. Their defensive efficiency has dropped from 108.1 points allowed per possession to 116.3, which would also rank last.

The matchup fits Vucevic particularly well as an individual, too, as he will be defended by Miles Plumlee. While Plumlee isn't a horrendous low post defender, he is far too slow to track Vucevic as he floats around the perimeter and runs pick and pops.
