Hassan Whiteside, C, Miami Heat

DraftKings Salary: $7,000

Speaking of tournaments, let's talk about Hassan Whiteside. Whiteside can be one of the most frustrating players to own in daily fantasy, because he has the ability to take you to the top of the leaderboards on one night and sink your lineup the next. As if his already volatile numbers wasn't enough, he is taking part in the game that will feature the most variance of any on the slate.

The Miami Heat are 15.5-point underdogs against the Golden State Warriors and are coming off of an intense battle with the Los Angeles Clippers last night. This game is in the middle of a challenging west coast road trip for Miami, and if it gets ugly early, the Heat starters could be looking at limited playing time.

So there's your disclaimer. There is a very real chance that Whiteside posts a dud at $7,000, setting your lineups back in a big way. With that out of the way, let's look at the upside of rostering Whiteside.

For starters, the dude is way underpriced. Whiteside needs 35 DraftKings points to reach value, which he's done in three of four games, despite dealing with a knee injury and seeing limited playing time in two of those games. Even though he is averaging 42.9 DraftKings points, his price is $1,400 lower than it's season-opening number. He already has two 50-plus DraftKings point performances, and he averaged 47.1 DraftKings points against Golden State last season. In a spot very similar to this one (14.5-point road underdogs), Whiteside posted a monster 59.5 DraftKings point performance in a 12-point loss.

Whiteside is clearly a tournament-only flier in this spot. But he has the chance to be the late-night hammer and change the complexion of tournaments at a discounted price tag and ownership.
