Evan Fournier, SG, Orlando Magic

FanDuel Price: $5,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Evan Fournier is rarely a popular daily fantasy play, and with several viable plays available at the shooting guard position, that isn't likely to change.

At the top end, Giannis Antetokounmpo should garner some attention, while mid-range options Bradley Beal and C.J. McCollum also find themselves in good spots. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot should continue to be a popular value play, which will deflect even more attention from Fournier.

Why You Should Use Him:

Another player our projections are a big fan of is Fournier, who is projected as the best value at the shooting guard position tonight. A key reason for that is the defense of the Orlando Magic's opponent tonight, the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn has combined the league's fastest pace of play with a 23rd-ranked defensive efficiency, which has been a recipe for success for opponents. In fact, no team on this slate has allowed more FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards than the Nets.

While Fournier will benefit from the overall ineffectiveness of Brooklyn's defense, what really stands out for him in this matchup is the increase in pace. Fournier has been one of the most effective transition scorers in the league over the past two seasons and should take advantage of the extra possessions tonight.

Among qualified players, no one posted a higher points per possession than Fournier in transition last season, while LeBron James was the only player to post a higher effective field goal percentage in transition. He hasn't been quite as dominant this season, but he still leads the Magic in transition points per game.

Given how well he fits this matchup, it should come as no surprise that Fournier has topped 20 points in both meetings with Brooklyn this season. With five-straight games of at least 20 points, it seems like a safe bet that he will once again be able to score at will against the Nets. He is a viable play in any format.
