3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3/1/17

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are plenty of options to like at small forward, with two of the likely most popular being in the same price range as Khris Middleton. Marcus Morris is coming off of a huge game and should be popular against the New Orleans Pelicans, while Terrence Ross's $4,400 price tag doesn't come close to matching his recent production. Both should deflect quite a bit of ownership from Middleton, who most will be afraid to roster while he is still on a minutes limit.

Why You Should Use Him:

Middleton hasn't looked quite like the player who averaged 18.2 real-life points and 30.6 FanDuel points last year, but he has seen his minutes on the rise recently and has displayed some upside, putting up 39.1 FanDuel points in 26 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets. He started Milwaukee's last game and played 28 minutes, which marked his third straight game with at least 24 minutes.

The Milwaukee Bucks elected to hold him out on the back end of a back to back, meaning he has had two days to rest prior to this game. Milwaukee doesn't play again until Friday, so with Michael Beasley out, Middleton should see solid run.

The timing couldn't be much better, as the Bucks take on the Denver Nuggets. Denver is on the back end of a back to back, ranked dead last in defensive efficiency and has allowed the second-most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards.

Even without Beasley, who had averaged 19 points in the four games prior to his injury, Milwaukee is projected to outscore their season average by 9.3 points tonight. Middleton should be a big part of doing so. He is a terrific tournament option at this price.
