Andrew Wiggins, SF, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Price: $7,500

Paul George was in quite the slump earlier in January but has rebounded with several strong performances over the past few weeks. At his worst, his price was $7,100, but it has now risen all the way to $9,500, thanks to a six-game stretch during which he has averaged 40.1 FanDuel points.

What does this have to do with Andrew Wiggins? Well, Wiggins was in nearly the same spot a couple weeks ago, struggling from the field and priced down to $6,800. Since then, he has enjoyed a six-game stretch during which he has averaged 37.3 FanDuel points. That's not quite George status, but it's close enough that it has to make you wonder why Wiggins' price has risen just $700, while George's has skyrocketed to nearly $10,000.

A common theme in Wiggins' recent string of excellence has been projected shootouts. Tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers should be just that, as the 214-point over/under is one of the highest on the slate. In games the Minnesota Timberwolves have played in with an over/under of at least 210 points this season, Wiggins has seen his FanDuel average climb from 27.9 to 34.3 points. In games they have been projected for at least 102 points, Wiggins has averaged 32.3 FanDuel points, as opposed to 25.9 in all other games.

Wiggins has also stepped up his game when facing LeBron James and the team that traded him after selecting him with the number-one pick, averaging 36.4 FanDuel points in four career meetings. Cleveland has also struggled against small forwards this season, giving up the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing small forwards.

Given the favorable matchup and game script tonight, along with a price tag that hasn't caught up with his recent production, Wiggins is an excellent bet to exceed his salary-implied expectations.
