Tyler Johnson, PG, Miami Heat

FanDuel Price: $6,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

As we just hit on with Rubio, there are a plethora of viable options at the point guard position. Sandwiched right in between some of the most popular value plays on the slate is Tyler Johnson, who is rarely a popular daily fantasy option in his bench role.

Why You Should Use Him:

Johnson has played over 30 minutes in six straight games, a stretch during which he has averaged 29.8 FanDuel points. He'll look to extend that streak against the Dallas Mavericks, who rank 22nd in defensive efficiency.

Dallas has defended point guards fairly well, but playing as the backup point guard, Johnson will mostly be defended by Jose Juan Barea, who is a liability on defense. His numbers have been a bit better this season, but Barea ranked dead last among 423 qualified players in real defensive plus/minus last year.

Compared to some of the other excellent plays at point guard, Johnson profiles as a suboptimal cash-game play. However, he comes at a nice discount and should see minuscule ownership, making him an excellent tournament play.
