It has taken a while, but it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that James Harden has overtaken Russell Westbrook for the most expensive player in daily fantasy given his recent production and the solid matchup he has tonight.

Harden has at least 65 FanDuel points in four of his last seven games, and in 16 games over the past month, he has more games with at least 60 FanDuel points (5) than with fewer than 50 (4). He has shown an outstanding floor all season, with only one game of fewer than 40 fantasy points, and he has finally started to flash some huge upside to go with that.

He's up against the Timberwolves, who rank only 24th in defensive rating while allowing middle-of-the-pack fantasy production to point guards. Harden has proven to be the league's most reliable fantasy option, and combining that with his big upside in a good matchup makes him well worth the huge salary.
