3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 1/5/17

It's not exactly ground-breaking to have Anthony Davis, the league's third-highest fantasy scorer, round out the list of today's studs, but sometimes that's the way slates shake out -- these guys are the top fantasy scorers in the league for a reason.

With some tough matchups and injury concerns surrounding many of the other high-priced players in action, this is a slate where you'll want to pay up for studs rather than trying to save some cap space with the guys in the $8,000-10,000 price range.

Davis had a few rough games in the middle of December, but has bounced back, averaging 51.5 FanDuel points per game over his last seven, despite drawing a few tough matchups in that span.

The Atlanta Hawks are a solid defensive team, but they have played at the league's eighth-highest pace, leaving opponents plenty of room for fantasy production. Davis has shown an ability to produce regardless of matchup, largely thanks to a career-high 33.4% usage rate, and he should thrive in an up-tempo game tonight.
