Kevin Kiermaier (back, shoulder) out for Rays Monday
Tampa Bay Rays center fielder Kevin Kiermaier (back, shoulder) is out of Monday's starting lineup against the New York Yankees.
Kiermaier is considered day-to-day with what amounts to general soreness entering the final week of the regular season. Mallex Smith will replace him in center field while Austin Meadows will make the start in right and bat seventh versus Yankees right-hander Jonathan Holder.
Kiermaier is averaging 9.0 FanDuel points in 86 games this season, while slashing .220/.284/.376 with 7 home runs, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored, and 10 steals across 361 plate appearances.
