Cubs reportedly getting Daniel Murphy from Nationals
The Chicago Cubs are "working out a deal" to acquire infielder Daniel Murphy from the Washington Nationals, reports Craig Mish of Sirius XM.
That means every other club in the National League opted not to claim the 33-year-old veteran. After a slow start coming off microfracture knee surgery, Murphy owns a .915 OPS over his last 29 games.
Murphy averaged 8.1 FanDuel points in 56 games for the Nationals, with a .300/.341/.442 slash, 6 home runs and 29 RBI across 205 plate appearances.
