Arizona's Jake Lamb (shoulder) lands on disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed third baseman Jake Lamb on the 10-day disabled list with a left shoulder contusion.

What It Means:

Lamb hurt his shoulder during Thursday's loss to the Chicago Cubs. No word on the extent of the injury but Lamb was looking at reduced playing time anyway after the addition of Eduardo Escobar through trade on Friday.

Lamb has batted .222 with 6 homers and 31 RBI over 238 plate appearances this season.
