Garrett Cooper placed on Marlins' disabled list with wrist injury
Miami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to right wrist inflammation.
Cooper will see a specialist later this week to gain a better sense of how severe the issue is. He just returned earlier this month after being shelved for more than three months with a partial tear of the tendon sheath in his right wrist. The Marlins called up Magneuris Sierra from Triple-A New Orleans in a corresponding roster move.
Cooper is averaging 3.7 FanDuel points in 14 games for the Marlins this season.
