Red Sox sign Adam Lind to minor league contract
The Boston Red Sox have signed free-agent first baseman Adam Lind to a minor league contract.
Lind opted out if his minor league deal with the New York Yankees last week and will try to latch on with the Red Sox after the release of Hanley Ramirez. The 34-year-old Lind will report to Triple-A Pawtucket and could join the big league club in the next few weeks.
Lind batted .303 with 14 homers and 59 RBI in 301 plate appearances with the Washington Nationals in 2017.
