Francisco Cervelli (forearm) returns for Pirates' in Thursday's opener

Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli (forearm) is starting on Thursday against the San Diego Padres.

What It Means:

Cervelli sat out Wednesday's series finale win over the Chicago White Sox after being lifted from Tuesday's contest when he was plunked by a pitch in the forearm. He's better now and will replace Elias Diaz behind the plate while batting third versus Padres left-hander Eric Lauer in Thursday's series opener.

numberFire's models project Cervelli to score 10.5 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,100 on Thursday.
